I don't know if I should start a new thread, but how can I get more performance out of the GPU or if it is even possible?
You are supposed to smear the cooling paste behind the CPU on the pins, right?

Yes you should start a thread in the Nvidia section, but there are many threads to read first, all recent Nvidia cards use the same software and overclock similar, the new MSI Afterburner and EVGA precision, now has auto tuning available for Pascal cards as well as Turing, setting a good fan curve is essential as heat will auto downclock your GPU
