ASUS XI Maximus Hero booting into Bios

i Folks,

I've just made a new build using Windows 10 Pro and a Asus Xi Maximus Hero. I installed windows 10 using Rufus, via USB and set the drive up for GPT partition. Windows is installed on a Samsung EVO 950 1Tb M2 drive and there is another 6TB WD secondary drive used for steam

When I try to boot the PC it only goes to the American Megatrends screen and waits for me to press F1, than goes into BIOS. In the bios is is setup for boot sequence 1 on the Windows Boot Manager on the Samsung Evo. This doesn't seem to work, however the Windows Boot Manager on the Samsung Evo (exactly the same as selected for the #1 boot sequence, is available on under boot override. If I select it here the PC goes straight into windows.

Weird!

Any ideas?

TIA

is there written something else? like why do you have to press f1 to enter bios
you can also try disabling this behaviour in bios boot options, but first try to figure out whats going wrong there

Are you getting a failed overclock message on the American Megatrends screen?
