I have the same issue with with BIOS 2801 and 2704, the red led staying on while trying to boot my new Ryzen 3600x. I have installed the latest chipset driver while I had my r5 2600x installed along with the BIOS update to 2704. After no luck, put my 2600x back in to try the 2801 BIOS, same issue with trying to boot. Then when it did decide boot after a few restarts, I got a Windows blue screen after the post screen saying I have to reinstall Windows. 3rd time I put my 2600x back in to try a different BIOS, 2501 seemed to boot my 3600x without any issues. Now I can't play Destiny 2 because it won't launch...fml Asus

I learned after updating bios that I would need to clear the cmos, otherwise the board would not boot. You can use a screwdriver as asus cheaped out and did not provide a tiny jumper. Turn off and remove power before doing this of course.

I always set the BIOS to Optimized Defaults and reboot Before a BIOS Update then Clear CMOS after the Update using these steps:
- Unplug the PC (PSU).
- Then press the Power Button for at least 30 seconds (the on board ROG LEDs will sometimes flash after 20-30 seconds to show that all power has been drained from the board).
- Use a flat headed screwdriver to short the CLR CMOS (CLRTC) Jumper (Touch both jumper pins with the screwdriver) for at least 15 seconds.
- Plug the PC back in.
- Press the Power Button to turn the PC on.
- Repeatedly tap the DEL key
- A screen should come up telling you to press the F1 key, do that.
- Set the Optimized Default settings and Press OK (this is on the EXIT tab)
- Save and exit the BIOS.
- Tap the DEL key again to enter the BIOS and change any settings you want changed then save and exit again.

Turns out it was my sound card, which I "altered" by cutting off an LED as it was annoying me. Turns out Creative actually use the SAME circuit for ground (sound blaster z), so that eventually made my pc go crashing as the board would kick in esd protection. That is just hilariously bad design by Creative, and oddly enough, good design by asus.
Edit: Cutting off the 2nd LED seems to have fixed it. Also, Creative does not use the LED circuit for ground.Last edited by vBDKv; 11-27-2019 at 12:42 AM.

B450-F Mobo in Corsair 175-R case (Front USB SLOW)
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I have recently finished my first PC build.
I have the B450-F board by ROG in a Corsair 175-R Case however I am having a bit of an issue.
I tried using the two USB 3.0's on the front of the case and felt like they were running really slow, after doing speed tests on all of the cases USB ports I found that the 2 USB's 3.0 on the front of the case were actually slower than the USB 2.0 and the USB 3.0 on the back of the case.
This seems ridiculous as these are the easiest USB's to access and the ones I would instinctively use if I was going to plug in a USB stick or an external HDD/SDD.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Tom

Version 3003
2019/12/269.59 MBytes
ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING BIOS 3003
1. Update AM4 combo PI 1.0.0.4 patch B
2. Fixed a compatibility issue with M.2s when using Ryzen 3000 CPUs.
I've been running it for just over 24 hours now. Hitting closer to advertised boost on my 3600 but avg core voltage with PBO + Core Performance Boost seems higher than before. Easily averages at 1.4~.
Looks like my Core's aren't going to sleep through Ryzen Master like on the previous BIOS either but it might be a setting issue on my end.

Ram not at thier full speed
Hi all i just wondering why my ram ran at 2133 as my corsair vengeance lpx speed is 3200,
1st i try go to bios under ai tweaker i enable the docp and it failed to boot,
Then i try to manually select my speed from 3200 and it only boot at 2815. It really frustrating then someone suggested that i updated my bios and see my current bios 3003 i think and i see alots of update till the latest is 3103,but i saw one of the update has the update for memory overclocking rules but decide the latest one should has all the new fixed, so i download n update the bios, it not boot in 1st time after restart from bios then it boot, and check the msinfo for the update version to confirm, so i proceed to the bios and try again to change my mem speed default is still 2133 so 1 i enable the docp, fail to boot, then manual select the speed from 3200 and endup with 2800, its a bit frustrating as a friend of mine same ryzen 5 2600 but diff mobo can get to 3200Mhz, please can someone explain why i can't up my memory frequency.
