Which one is better between ROG STRIX X399-E Gaming VS ROG Zenith Extreme motherboard

Hello Everyone,

I ordered a new PC with the ROG Zenith Extreme but the manufacturer made a mistake and shipped me the ROG STRIX X399-E Gaming instead inside the machine.
He offered me to change for free if I want but I don’t really know what are the advantages and disadvantages for each one.
The only thing is*: I have to use a riser if I want 4 Gpu with the X399-E Gaming, aside that I don’t see any difference.

Can someone give me some advice on that*?

Cpu is threadripper 2990Wx with 128Go of ram

Thanks for your help 🙂

The zenith extreme is the flagship board for that chipset. * *It’s power delivery to the CPU is a bit more robust with several other attributes. If I bought the zenith no way I’d settle for a gaming. Not only the benifits but the HUGE difference in price point!!!

All ASUS X399 use same MOSFETs, phase count on VRM. But IIRC only Zenith have 2x 8 pin for CPU. There our other differences which I can't recall from top of my head, but I'd want the Zenith.

Oh ok, It looks like there is no real advantages of getting the strix over the zenith then.
Thanks for your advices, I think I will go for the zenith 🙂
