Hi everybody,

I have recently replaced my old G71GX for a new G74SX and i wanted to thanks all the people on this forum for all the good advices. I have upgraded my G74 with 8Go xtra memory plus a 128 Go SSD for the OS and obviously did a clean fresh install of windows 7 Ultimate and it works just great without bloatware. Just hoping the pending issues like CPU throttling will be sorted out soon...
So one more time a BIG thanks to all especially the ROG gurus.

Hi, Thanks this a really good lap top.
Thanks to the guys in the forum for the help in the choice.
Based on my G71 experience i guess the least is a clean install first thing after pulling the lapy out of the box.

Might want to run the AI Recovery first, just so you'll have a copy of your OEM installation in case you ever need it.

Well, i still have the OS HDD that i didnt format when i upgraded for the SSD.
I also have my windows ultimate disc and all driver backed up on an external HDD so i dont feel the need to make a copy of the OEM installation. But thanks for the advice anyway 😄
