    Going by memory. 9900x
    Chip 1: 1.235 for 4.6. Couldn’t boot 4.7 all the way up to 1.26
    Chip 2: 1.25 And 4.6 still won’t boot
Chip 3: 1.25 and 4.6 won’t boot. possibly defective. Frequent memory and cpu code errors. Booted into windows about 70 percent of the time stock. *
Chip 4: 1.195 for 4.6 1.9 input. 1.248 for 4.7 1.92 input. Rock solid. Good temps. No weird core spikes. Haven’t tried 4.8

All had xmp enable right off the bat. 3200cl14 32 gb.

Mesh on current cpu is 30 with auto voltage which doesn’t get above 1.1. *Haven’t tried anymore. Just wanted to use the pc at this point.

Using rampage extreme and ASUS 360 aio. Gaming load at daily 4.6 is ~60c cinebench ~80c*

Go check silicon lotteries sit. It’ll show you what they are usin and what clock they get. You can judge your chip based off of those results.*

I would try starting with 4.3GHZ as it seems most that SL are doing are getting there as its more than MSRP but not crazy. You can watch the prices before any historical data to see what he is getting. The one going for MSRP are just not doing very well but better than default, the one listed for under MSRP are spuds that wont run anything past default. 4.4 there is at $400 over MSRP so 20% or so and 4.5 is $1000 over MSRP so you can bet that only a few are getting that as in less than 5%.

Right now dealing with the fact one of my GPUs wants to run in 8x not 16x yet the other two lanes are only 4x.....

    2x 16x is 32 and add 2x4 is 8, so only 40 lanes used of 44....

uhh sorry doesn’t work that way. Populate all slots and you have 16X then 8x on the other 3 for *a total of 40 and the other 4 on DIMM.2_1 which accounts for all 44. * The slots are X8, using half of the bandwidth on that slot doesn’t change it to a 4x slot, its still X8. Think of driving on a 4 lane highway. The fact that your vehicle only uses one lane doesn’t change the fact that it’s a 4 lane highway.*

Disappointed with the results of the 9980 for overclocking, my 7980 had no issues reaching the 4.9 everyday use and 5.0 for some benching, this thing......applied same settings

    9940X @ 4.8 GHz
    XMP on
    AVX 3
    512AVX 5
    sync all cores
    multi at 48
    adaptive to 1.225
    svid disabled
    LLC at 4
power limits long and short to max 4095
    CPU current at 140%
    ASUS multiccore enhance disabled

keep getting a locked thread bsod, voltage doesnt seem to do anything for it though

    System Agent thoughts?

Wait you just copy pasted someone else’s settings for a totally different chip? That’s never going to work. You need to start from scratch*
