Nothing serious in itself, but considering that we seek the best cooling with our WC, etc ... It is not for a microcode increase all that

That's why I stay with the microcode 49 (TJMax 105°)
And for the Spectre protection, I disable it, so...
Can this microcode be applied to any bios? Say for instance, the Omega's 0504?

The microcode is linked to CPU, not motherboard, so yes

just for clarity... how do you know the temperature actually did increase?

When I updated my Strix bios, temps rose 5-7C across the board on both load and idle. I rolled the bios back, and temps dropped. Whether they ACTUALLY dropped, who knows. I was just going by the monitoring software as I am now with the Omega. What I don't understand is the the live dash on the Omega consistently shows temps 7-12C lower than any of the monitoring software I have tried. So which to believe?

So, how does one go about changing the microcode? Do you need to rewrite bios or can it be done with a Windows utility?

The OLED of the R6E (same for the Omega surely) indicates the CPU temp and not the cores I believe

After, that it is normal this increase of temperatures of the cores with a higher TJMax
    Sorry for my english

Must "integrate" the microcode in the bios, as I do for the bios of the R6E

I noticed this too. I just thought it was socket verses CPUI temp.

I believe this temperature is the same temp that an OC panel would display... is it the same as what the QLED shows?
