I'm a bit miffed over the fact that the Omega costs $100 more than the Extreme...

It must be integrated directly in the bios and after, flash the bios

    Same.

Though I am disappointed with the lack of SATA and USB connectors. In addition to gaming I use the amped up board as kind of a central hub for my digital life. Fortunately my Rampage V is still humming along with all it's SATA populated as a file server.

Just noticed that my USB speeds are super slow. Front panel jacks work with USB2 but not USB3. For example, I have my mouse/keyboard dongle in one slot and it works fine, but if I plug a USB3 hard drive or card reader into the same port it is dead. Any ideas?

All of my front panel USB 2 and 3 works. I have transferred files to/from USB3 from the front panel to a usb 3.0-2.5 HDD. The board has two USB3 connections, one at the bottom and one near the sata ports. I use both USB2 ports on the MB , 1) Corsair PS and 2) NZXT hub which has USB2 front panel, ASUS Addressable RGB Hub, Corsair Lightning node pro. My USB 3 is plugged in near the sata. I have no problems with USB 2 and 3 on this Omega.

Mine were all fine as well. Just restarted with my card reader plugged in and all is well again. I'll have to try and update the driver/software for the reader and see what happens.

I'm looking to upgrade my current rig to an i9-9900X and an Omega. I'll keep my 7900X and RVIE as a media center PC.
