Memory QVL list vs. memory list with company

Looking for memory for the new omega board and assuming compatibility with the old R6E, I see where there are memory kits at Corsair’s site using their memory configuration app that are NOT on the QVL at Asus. Can I assume memory compatibility 1) with the R6E that would be identical or applicable to the R6EO, and 2) with the R6E using the memory configuration app at either the GSkill or Corsair websites for kits that are not on the Asus QVL? I don’t see the QVL yet for the R6EO. Thanks.*

I'd stick with your current memory kit before buying something new. The layouts are slightly different on these two boards, so there may be some changes.
