Frustrating VPN Issues with GT-AC5300

Ever since the latest firmware update, I'm suddenly unable to get my VPN service to work. It seems to connect fine on the router, but the IP address refuses to change. Anyone else having this issue and/or have you discovered a work around? Or perhaps I just need to wait for another firmware update.....

I had a problem using IPVanish where after about two hours the IP (checking with ipleak.net) would show my provider IP even though Fusion looked OK. A router reboot would bring it back for another two hours.

I switched to ExpressVPN which is more router friendly and Fusion is solid after 36 hours. Fusion provides a VPN to a Mac Mini.
