Hi.

I have 3 in list very similar to chose from. All Samsung b-die.

G.skill 2x8GB 3600mhz trident z CL15. 250€ (2016 model)

G.skill 2x8GB 3600mhz trident z CL16. 230€ (2016 model)

G.skill 2x8GB 3600mhz trident RGB CL16. 270€ (2018 model)

I don't care for the RGB but this modules are newer models (not sure if that will count for overclock headroom and performance).

Which one do you recommend?

8700K, Z370-E, Samsung 960 Pro, 2080 Strix.

Thank you.

Hi,

If not concerned about RGB lighting and price isn't a concern, then the CAS15 would be the best option.

Thank you very much.

RGB is not important. I thought that maybe since the RGB are newer manufacturered they will overclock better than the rest.

Will try 4000MHZ relaxing the timings.

I also found this ones:

G.skill 2x8GB 3400mhz trident RGB CL17. 330€ (2018 model).

Price is much higher but guarantee 4000MHZ which is the limit of my motherboard.

Worth it?

Not sure what makes you think that kit guarantees 4GHz, but I would stick to non-RGB kits if the highest obtainable frequency is your concern over aesthetics.

The 3600 CL15 kit is as good or better than almost any kit available.

3000MHz - 3200MHz @ CL15 is the sweet spot. Tbh I got 3600CL15 and regret it. I should have saved £100 or so and got a slightly cheaper kit but my 32GB was £450 at the time. I imagine it's come down a bit since then.

I read in forums that with the Coffee Lake the speed matters more than the CL. A bit confusing for me then.

Still the 3600 CL15 will be better than the 3200 CL15 right?

I just bought it a couple hours ago.

Yes 3600C15 is better than 3200C15 but the speed will be negligible. As posted above, make sure that the sticks are in the QVC list for the MoBo.

Get the cheapest one. You won't notice a difference.
I'd like to deploy my troops in her country.

One thing you may want to keep in mind is memory compatibility with the board....Please check both the Asus and GSkill QVL to insure compatibility....too many users fail to do this and end up having issues and hence put blame on the board.
