LLC 6, is it the max?

Kratzr

I have a 9900k @5GHz with the ASUS MAXIMUS XI FORMULA.
I use Adaptive Mode and set the voltage to 1.34V with a negative offset of 0.001V.
Idle votage is at 1.288-1.32V.
I use LLC 6 and the voltage drops to 1.243V under load.
I want to push the CPU more and want to know if LLC 6 would be the max to go.

Level 8
max. available LLC in bios is 8
from my own experience best values for overclocking are 6 and 7
the higher the level, the less vdroop and bigger heat

Well, if what this guy is reporting is true, then a higher LLC is definitely what he needs, cause vdroop is huge and voltage difference on-load/off-load is not controlled. There is no "best" LLC level - it is calibration for your specific hardware and settings. I would agree that going to level 8 territory should be done with care, as that is pretty big compensation. Yet, 9th generation chips have a huge vdroop.
