Is it possible to install JUST the lightning control? I noticed when installing the Aura Sync is installs loads of crap even the atkexcomsvc.exe service, I just want to set a standard color and that's it, close it and never open it again... is that a possibility?

i don't think there's a way to skip installing all this bundled stuff. but you can remove atkexcomsvc and other unneccessary programs from Windows autostart so they won't hog your resources. AFAIK atkexcomsvc is needed for reading thermal sensors on Asus MBs, so you can turn it off if it's not something you need.
