rog rampage omega
thank you and sorry my bad, so me having cascade lake x is it going to make any difference flashing the microcode 69 or just stick with asus provided 3006 BIOS, reason being i am not getting full potential of my cpu boost of 4.6ghz all core boost and 4.8ghz boost on 2 performing cores and have reverted back to previous 0802 where i remembered once seeing hwinfo showing correct cpu boost but after flasing to 3006 provided by asus no matter what setting i do ( i have even manually set all memory timings and all other setting as well as xmp setting) it just stays at 4.3ghz boost and i cant figure out what i am not doing correctly, any further advice very much appreciated as i have been dealing with this for the past 2 days going no where. ( and i keep overlooking those registry editors and i dont exactly understand about them, should i necessarily add them).

I have flashed the modded 3006 Bios for my R6A, can it be that the Cascade Lake-X microcode - F00 runs hotter than the others?
My Temps in Cinebench are nearly 100 degrees with the same OC Bios settings as before.
Before i flashed, the temps was about 10 degrees lowerIntel i9 10940x

Ok, you went from the official 3006 to the modded 3006
Either from 12C microcode to F00
You will have to retest the official 3006, see if the TJMax is the same (normally yes) and if you still have this difference
I advise you to save your settings on a USB key (profile) to avoid having to adjust everything every timeSorry for my english

It's weird, if the TJMax hasn't changed, then the temperatures should be the same (under the same conditions)
Maybe another setting or wait for the opinion of other owners of Cascade Lake-XSorry for my english

Freezing for a few seconds
Something is wrong with this BIOS on my system.
I am using bios 3006 with microcode 69 and ever since windows keeps freezing for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.
Before updating from 2002 to 3006 I was using microcode 68 and afaik no issues of this sort.
What is the best Bios for a rampage VI with a 7900x??
I am guessing that my board may not like the new microcode for cascade lake x since I am still using skylake x.
My current TJ mac is 110c so the issue is not that.
Also, sometimes it takes for ever to boot into windows.
I am thinking of using the modded bios 2002 with microcode 68 unless of course someone can be kind to tell me what's is the main difference between bios 2002 and 3006? I can't find no difference except that bios 2002 is using microcode 68.
Tistou,I am not implying that your modded bios are faulty but rather I have stuffed up by installing the wrong one.
Thank you.
