Example of useless post is yours about Retpoline (Reptoline in your words, xDDD) in x299.

Another one of your other posts completely useless
Retpoline should work with Skylake-X (software), sorry to teach you
tistou, I just received an update on this case.
Retpoline should be compatible with Skylake and newer processors as this is software.
Regards,
Alberto R.
Intel Customer Support Technician

I have the merit of looking for information and not just posted silly things like you
Alberto R must contact me and confirm how Retpoline works with newer processors
On UBU, I asked a question about the microcode, it does not concern you but you like quibble
For the TJmax, the temperature of the cores is read in relation to the TJmax, but still something that you ignore maybe and as usual you speak for nothing
Otherwise why so many people indicate that the temperatures of their cores have increased since the microcode 5x
And last thing, the Cascade-Lake-X have a CPUID different from the Skylake-X and logically a different microcode
But unlike you, having no reliable information on the microcode of CL-X, I do not advance unlike you
And your posts would be like saying "The 49 is not compatible with KabyLake-X", post completely useless
But again, you just post to say silly things
But I must admit, your posts make me laugh (small dose anyway)
PS: if my post in English you do not like, please me, stop answering me, it will make me a vacation, I have enough to read your nonsenseLast edited by tistou77; 10-06-2019 at 03:10 PM.

Retpoline will make some older processors to perform better after meltdown and spectre patches.
U tried forcing retpoline and u found no differences cos it doesn't work with your 7980xe, but u don't want to understand. Forcing retpoline under Windows will not change the regedit keys with a skylake x processor, u can check regedit for yourself.
Now with the tjmax, u are using an old microcode that is not being used in the new bios's for cascade lake x. U say the new ones increase the temps, but the higher temp doesn't cause malfunction or a lower oc capability since on load the processors are as stable as 49 case. There are several later versions which according t you don't solve that problem, but the truth is there is no problem but in your head cos u o ly want to see better idle temps which in practical are useless. Maybe u think that 30 degrees instead of 25 are going to melt your cpu.Last edited by vmanuelgm; 11-25-2019 at 12:31 PM.

Would like to say also, because I'm a polite man, that this thread of yours is very useful to get bios updated. So when I said your retpoline tests were useless, I didn't mean all your work is useless.

For Retpoline, I only tested with the microcode 49, and this microcode is one of the microcode that makes losing "the least performance" (with the old 2B and 43)
So very little difference with 2, 3 tests
I will test one day with 64 microcode to see the differences with the 49
And with the 7980XE, I stay with the 49, doing the hunt for temperatures (watercooling), I do not want 5° more in load
There is already a difference with Cinebench
5° more when I tested with 60, at the timeSorry for my english

I guess the best performance/security ratio goes for MC 60... I find the MC 49 a bit old...
Forgot to ask, Tistou, u still using 49 under Windows without a workaround to avoid Windows loads 4D and newer versions, or have u patched your system???
In case u haven't patched it, having MC 49 is useless under Win!!!Last edited by vmanuelgm; 10-07-2019 at 12:01 AM.
