How nice of you.
It's your work after all isn't it?
Could at least tell me which version are you using? 2002 or 3006?
Microcode 49 fits your needs because you don't use much AVX512 but some of us do at higher clock speeds.
I have been reading and it seems that microcode 69 runs hotter but has been "polished " so it can run without bugs on avx512.Last edited by Desertum_0; 03-28-2020 at 12:46 PM.

Howdy, on 10940x On Rampage Encore using official 0505 BIOS from Asus. Seems like CL-X doesn't benefit positively from these BIOSes or not enough testing on CL-X yet? One user reports much higher temps. If I were to test, which version of 0505 BIOS should I use for CL-X?

Microsoft will use 02006901 microcode for W10 May 2020 Update soon.
49 is OK if you want cooler your CPU. However it will not safe from Intel SA-00233/00329 ( Microarchitect Data Sampling Vulnerables )
See more info here.
Intel SA-00233 info

Intel SA-00329 info

If you didn't concern both issues above. You can use 02000049 microcode instead 02006901 microcode.
Microsoft Windows 10 May 2020 Update version 2004 Build 19041.173 will release soon on mid May 2020.
The OS kernel will forced your Skylake X SKUs to deployed 02006901 microcode automatically.Microsoft Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25284.1000 Intel Core i9 7980XE 2.6 GHz 020006E05 Microcode ASUS RAMPAGE VI EXTREME MODDED BIOS 3701 SAMSUNG ODESSEY G9 FIRMWARE 1017.0 NVIDIA RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X 256GB GSKILL DDR4 16-18-18-36 3200MHz SAMSUNG EVO 970 PLUS 1 TB x 3 HARMAN JBL 9.1 Sound Bar DOLBY ATMOS 9.1
