same same massive revision increase as 109x0 XE uCode 3101 you included in the BIOS. Think those two are kind of "siblings".
Thanks for Info, i updated it Link is the same

hi just wanted to chime in and i just setup my apex and flash bios with stock 3306 the latest on the site.
my setup is a 7980xe and gskill 4133 17 17 17 37 1.4v been trying everything to try to get it to post from volts to timings it with always stop at BD or D5
so i gave up a lil and settled for 3800mhz but that oc itch lol

long story short i wanted to see what bios was on the 2nd chip and it was 3006 and it posted 4000mhz i set timings to the qvl set 19 21 21 41 and i just finished a error free memtest

so what changed memory overclocking wise and is there a bios thats easier with high mem clocks

    thanks...

3200mhz paired wiht 3200 Cache is an amazing good combination (harmony) and works overall and on long seesions without any errors.
Memory Overclocking dont works very well on x299 and Quad Channel, you will get performance that is only visible on Memory Benchmarks (AIDA64) and good for Scrennshots to show how amazing you are....you will never feel a difference.
But the biggest thing is that just SOME poeple knows, when you overclock your memory you can break your windows on long term... bcs when your windows get bad information (if the ram calculates wrong) over a long time it will get broken and you will get bluescreens or other things that you cant start your windows anymore... just a new install of windows will help then... and the story will begin again if you stay on your high clocked memory.

Dont foget this is QUAD CHANNEL it has the "~double" speed of Dual Channel (four ram slots dont mean QUAD Channel) that the most of the gamers and pcs have.

Only on Dual Channel Platforms you can clock higher.. why ? I dont know bcs im not interested in Dual Channel Platforms.

I bought an expensive 32GB QUAD 4266 GSkill memory that im driving it at 3600 16-16-16-36 CR1 and deep deep tuning, i could buy the 3600 for less money and be happy.

I can clock them to 4000 @ 18-18-18 but on long sessions (8-12h or more) you get bluscreens... and dont forget the windows break after several months, that will come like a surprise. I dont want to start here a discussion about memory clocking, bcs everybody see it different and knows it better. Just for info... i will not answer to any discussion about it... that has nothing to do with the fact that I'm arrogant or something ... I have no nerve (cant handle) to testify ignorant or know-it-all with half knowledge (hobby technician).

i9 79xx and i9 99xx series cant clock over 4000 - mb there is an magican that already get more (i dont care)
i9 109xx series can clock little bit higher - mb you get ~4266

But you can do what ever you want, you know now the facts, make the best from it.

    Well said.
I had a hard time trying to get 4000MHz (F4-4000C18Q2-64GTZR) on 10980XE and VI extreme encore. I mean it works fine even with CL 17,16, but there is always coold boot issue, so the best stable result i was able to do is 3800MHz 16-16-16-32-301-1T with 1.35V, VCCIO 1V and VCCSA 0.800V.

Can You please post your Aida64 memory benchmark? I would like to compare it with mine. Thanks in advance!

But 64gb and all 8 slots it’s dangerous HOT!
I think you look really good with your settings, when you fine with it.
And I immediately get a headache just thinking about deep memory overclocking and seeing all of my screenshots.
bcs I try to find the best settings in RTLs and IOLs and never find it. NEVER AGAIN

@Bogsha Look like your L1 L2 cache bandwidth a bit too low. What happen ?

Thanks for your advice, i really appreciate that I'll probably leave it like it is now, because i have air-cooled EVGA RTX 3090 inside, which already warm up all other PC parts very well.
