Win-Raid -Intel MEI Driver v11.7.0.1069 MEI-Only Installer - Should Use?
Can we, should we be updating the Intel MEI Driver to a newer version than what is on the Asus site?
Win-Raid always shows newer versions, but I didn't know if Asus also did something to the Intel MEI Driver for this board, or it's just the stock drivers?
At present I have the latest version found on the Asus site; Consumer_11.7.0.1040
But was looking at these on Win-Raid, wondering if good to update?
A1. Intel MEI Driver Only

Thanks
P.S. I just did a new fresh install of Win7 and haven't installed anything yet...

Hi SLACKROG
You should use latest (Intel® Management Engine Driver for Windows 8.1* and Windows® 10) version for Z170 chipset directly from Intel.

Should I use the inf from download center too or is Asus download specific benefit for their boards?

It's the same, non-customized drivers from Asus and from Intel. Better to use latest directly from Intel.

Well MEI Only Installer MSI: says;
This folder contains the installer for the Intel® Management Engine Interface driver only.
So this appears to be only drivers, but there is also a "Consumer" and "Corporate" I guess Consumer is all I need...
