as stated in title, going through a warranty claim, although it's 5 months out of warranty....it's one of those infamous bad mic versions that hasnt played up till now.
and now that ive looked at it closer, the serial number on the headset starts with H3 and on the box is H6...invoice does not have serial number on it either.

anyone else ever encounter something like this?
