    I would be wary of no support for the SSD there...it might be fine but it might also be vibrating imperceptibly until it works loose or something like that...

    It works for me actually. Stable 53°C. And I like the performance. No, I wasn't aware of a firmware upgrade and didn't do that. Don't fix it if it isn't broken...
