Thank you. I'm going to try the manual. I will research this and play before asking questions. The main reason why I delidded was to get a much quieter machine. My stock 7900x at the same 43/45 as the delidded direct die is much quieter (fan noise almost half the rpm) because it's 15 degrees cooler. AI Suite 3 overclocked the 7900x at exactly the same settings (stock and delid) but the CPU is running much cooler - go figure.

I use corsair 120LL fans I leave them on max RPM which is only 1500 and these hardly make any noise but they also don't cool to well there more for looks it seems lol, but they do the job long hours of gaming i can feel the heat in the tubing from the CPU and GPU pumping heat out, I set my pump to 45% and leave it on that flow has no affect in dropping temps.

for your 7900x i would set your multi to 47 and set vcore to 1.23v and stress test it with real bench 1.23v would be a good starting point.

Monoblocks work great with a delidded chip and a copper IHS mate, just as good as a normal water block, if you have no experience in the matter maybe not give out invalid info to the community!

Mono blocks only look cool they do not actually cool better

Not even vrm's are cooled better than a dedicted vrm water block
Been there done both even an ek evo cools 5-10c better than a mono block.

That is actually incorrect the monoblock cools the same as a EVO, and a dedicated VRM block will always be better yes but thats not the point the monoblock is better than standard cooling for the VRM.

OP said he had no issues but thats because he had a copper IHS, if you don't then thats your issue.

If at some point someone is only going for a show rig feel free to install a mono block
If one want a go rig plan on a separate vrm and cpu water block
That's not my problem that is my solution :doh:

I 'm using 6 Corsair ML140 fans on a 64/420mm radiator spinning at 450rpm - a setting from AI Suite 3 extreme quiet.

I started to change the ratio and tried 47,48,49 with 3/5 offsets only. I noticed as I went higher (but still within and under 100 degrees) that some of the cores were throttling as they showed lower frequencies across the cores. 4.7 is stable with everything on auto. I will try the voltages next.

running at 4.8 no problems all cores so far, AVX 3,5, XMP 3600 set to 3200 for now because AI Suite 3 always sets it to this when using 5 way optimization.

Staying at 4.9 all cores. XMP 3200, AVX 4,6 everything else on auto.
Voltages at 4.8 was 1.3, 1.35 at 4.9. AIDA 64 FPU test drew 544W

Cinebench was 2395, still 4.7 saw 2503. 4.7 seemed to be the sweet spot. 5.0 did not work with Cinebench.

CPU-7900x delidded, naked with Iceman, LM, Velocity 2066 jet plate vertical (will try horizontal later), single 64/420mm radiator with six ML140 push pull, Thermaltake silent d5 pump on 75%. 21 degree ambient.

Omega VRM fans are always spinning but not heard. At + 4.7 and 45 degrees idle they were just spinning with no noise (had to use a flashlight to see if they were spinning). They progressively started to get louder with the ML140s as they got louder too. I could not differentiate the VRM fan noise from the ML140. All fans never got loud to me. Still very quiet to me. I did notice that my Windows setting for CPU was set to 100% as the minimum speed to I set it to 5% minimum and now when I don’t use the CPU, CPU speeds go down to 1.1(idle) from the 4.9 at load.
I apologize to keep posting and will be quiet for now. Thank you!

Thats because he didn't use a copper IHS and had a gap because of his delid that has nothing at all to do with the monoblock mate.

4.7Ghz is pretty good make sure you stress test your CPU with realbench for 8 hours after your happy with your voltage, if 8 hour passes bump your voltage up by .001 to be sure stability is 100%.
