Asus Rog Delta Type C issues Win10x64

Hi I seem to be having issues with my Delta Headphones. The sound will randomly cut out when playing any game after about 10 minutes then after about 2-5 minutes will randomly come back if I just leave it. Then after that it will be fine all night. But if I unplug them when there is no audio and plug them back in I get electrical noise coming out of the earpieces. Its really strange! I'm using a ROG Maximus X Hero board with Type-C connector.

If I on the other hand use a Type-C to USB 3.0 adapter I get no issues what so ever. But it used to work fine when I first got the headset. The only thing I can think of is I updated the firmware to the latest beta version, could this be the issue?

I have re-installed windows but this has not corrected the problem. Cheers!
