My ROG GL703GS hardly reaches 85C when fully loaded (CPU in isolation 75C), with a -140mV undervolt. Each CPU is unique, so there's no way to present an optimal value for the undervolt. The GL703GS undervolt can go as deep as -155mV, although to ensure stability I run it with an offset of -140mV. It has yet to crash or BSOD etc. in over six months of heavy profeshinal use, on all performance profiles or battery.
Doubts? -140mV undervolt,Turbo limits unlocked, CPU PL-1 reset to 65W, default being 45W. Under Prime95 Small FFT stress test CPU remains to be in limits with no thermal throttling...
This is a highly unrealistic scenario, with a massive synthetic load applied to the CPU. You will never push the CPU to such extremes under normal use or while gaming. As by default the 45W PL-1 limit will cut in at the 28 second point.
CPU on my GL703GS levels out at mid 70C as can be seen below with default Turbo limits, with -140mV undervolt.
Cinebench R15 & Prime95 running simultaneously, zero throttling.
CineBench R15 Undervolt with the default 45W PL-1 limit in place, you can expect results similar to this, which is strong for the 8750H, newer chipsets can push as high as 1300CB

I replaced the 1mm pads which were lifting the heat pipes with 0.5 mm
i had to keep one 1mm strip for the chips next to the tiny chips close to the exhausts because there is more clearance so the 0.5 was not enough. I placed that pad on the heat pipes as ther was like a cutout for it to minimise the risk of not seating properly. I masked gpu diodes with heat resistant tape to make the cleaning easier next time and after i fit everything i pressed a little on the heat sink.
I will upload photos later and i will do some benchmarks shown by you guys because it seems that you are stressing the cpu only. my high teps were when i was stressing both cpu and gpu. I am running it stable at -155mV undervolt from the first day after i bought it. I will post tonight pictures of the whole process and some benchmarks as i am at work now.

I did not had the chance tu upload any results but cinebench scores around 1250cb and while stressing with aida64 both cpu and gpu it still thermal throttles but cpu clock is now 3.77 instead of 3.5 which is again an improvement over the 3.5 with 1mm pads and 3.0 stock
can someone try aida64 system stability test with gpu ticked for about 10 mins ? thank you.
I had to incease PL1 to 65w as it was power limiting this time but with more current to cpu now is not. I think 55w will work well either

I want to repaste my CPU from my GL703GM-EE074.
In full load of Metro Exodus (High or ULTRA), my CPU show me 85-90 degree C
Too much right ?
Many peoples said that the paste Arctic Cooling MX-4 4g is one of the best.
And someone can tell me how many steps are till repaste the CPU from the open case...

I just did my GL703GS which has different internals. just remove all the screws that are holding the heat pipes and the move it left and right untill you breake the seal made by the paste then you can lift it then is up to you what paste you are using. It should not make much a difference as long as it is a quality one. I used thermal grizzly kryonaut which in my case did not stopped the throttling but i am getting higher frequencyes in cpu.
For vrm chips you can use k5 pro(thick paste thay you already have there) or thermal pad for which you will have to do some measurements to see where and what sizes you need

aida64 10 minute stress both CPU and GPU.
Stable at 3.49Ghz - 3.79Ghz on all cores (3.9 normal)
Temp stable at 70-80C
I am on the Grizzly Kypt and 1mm Arctic pads.
It was able to sustain 3.9Ghz for about a minute or so at 90 degrees C before dropping down to 3.79 - 3.49
Interestingly the GPU temp only goes up to 49 degress in stress test? No throttling
