I have to ask about Matrix 2080 TI

It just came I have a mega "FUN" project ahead of me this weekend.. It was Technically less than 2 days to deliver. I have been sooo patiently waiting for this since February. I haven't touched a box since I was collecting components. See my pics!!

Should I SLI 2 Matrix's or just use one ? If I use one card I can go vertical in a new design build or if I use 2 then I get SLI.. Not sure exactly how much SLI will give me. I have never SLI's any cards before. Also a little nervous if I SLI there wouldn't be much room between cards for top card air flow. What I would love some feedback from you all.

With the stock coolers? Definitely not IMO
With custom waterblocks well that comes down to what you hope to achieve.
SLI works great in some applications it really does. However SLI will provide less stable frametimes and could result - if you already reach a high framerate with a single card - in a worse experience. IMO SLI has mostly become a benchmark or an aesthetic thing. I am going with SLI because my build is about being as extreme as can be while not crossing the limits of XOC in terms of convenience. By that i mean that my build doesn't feature a chiller nor does it feature any kind of external cooling.

I wish you a lot of fun with your build and will soon keep working on mine as soon as I get the second card. Which hopefully will clock like a matrix this time :/

I think this was a good move.. I think the US isn't going to get this card anytime soon. After looking at the box the card came in, it has china written all over it. Right now we (the US) are about to spank china with 25% tariffs. I hope this is not the case, but $300 billion in imports will be affected.

Just messing around and already in the 1%. The benchmarking software doesn't know it's a Matrix Card is says generic. Wow what a let down. I wanted Matrix in lights I will have pics soon of the build .. Gotta Cable manage and last minute touches. EVERYTHING works hardware wise in my build. Software was tricky as most of the old versions and new version of the AURA, LiveDash, Armory ii etc.. don't play well together. Anyway.. check it. lets see more of these..

I'm not that lucky with my Matrix yet... First I put it in with the Cablemod vertical bracket, only one of my 2 monitors worked at first. Then i took everything out of my build just connected the riser cable with the matrix, without the whole bracked. Both monitors worked...
Then I started up heaven, after about 90 sec I noticed that my temps were at 80°C which was waaaay to high. Even better, my fans weren't even spinning at all. I Know that the fans don't spin at idle temps but at 80°C there must be something wrong if the fans aren't spinning.

May I ask you if the fans of your Matrix cards spin when you start up your computers?

@lmluer you also have the vertical bracket from cablemod right? Is your Matrix als skewed and deeper inside the case on one side than the other side.

We'll I seem like the first person to encounter problems with his Matrix, maybe it's just me..

Well. I now installed GPU Tweak and manually set the fanspeed for the left, right and middle fan to 100%. The fans didn't even think about starting to spin xD
I might have to send this card back and wait for a new one to arrive which would suck

I was about to say startup GPU Tweak and set everything up. You have to run that if you want to control the card and OC.

Yes the CableMod vertical GPU stand adds about 2 inches to the length of the card when installed. Barely fit my case but it works.. I will have pics soon.

My fans do spin even without GPU tweak but I more then think it was designed to work in conjunction with the GPU tweak software.

I had issues too. I had to reflash a bios for the card to take into ccount voltage and power limit tweaking.
i can't run it now but at idle fans aren't spinning. you may be running the quiet bios, try the other one to see if that's any different.
