The funniest thing about the Matrix in Switzerland is that I've created a thread to ask about availability of the Matrix in Switzerland in one of the biggest online shops here (one month ago), they were not able to give any information about it or if it will even be available here in Switzerland.
2 Weeks ago I joined the local Asus discord to ask someone from Asus about availability. The Asus person told me it would become available in Switzerland exclusively in the shop I asked I the first place. (and that it's basically already sold out which I don't understand because it has not been available in the shop yet)
To this day there has not been an update regarding availability or release date from the shop. The latest response was: Unfortunately we can not say anything yet (10 days ago)
In the mean time other shops have already opened preorders etc. but no Swiss shops.
I'm just confused about this whole release and don't know what to believe.

My latest thoughts last night chatting with a bud on a thread:
" Yeah I drank the ASUS cool aid once againonly this time instead of a glass I did the pitcher. I even got the Gskill TridentZ RGB DC 64gb ram too. I popped big this time.. Probably why I don 't have very much patience with waiting on Matrix.
I have the invite for another halo card that comes out tomorrow. It might be the best card in the industry today and has lots of support, videos, testing, presentation and perspective. There was non of that for Matrix whatsoever. CES19 stuff not even close to supporting it.
One of my points being that I seem to remember a Strix case they were building at CES19. It's not on the website any longer. I am not complaining or trolling, it's just perception and 9 times out of 10 perception is reality. I wanted this build to be ROG 100% so I have a dilemma. This is also new tech so it could be scrapped at any time if there are too many hurdles. "
As a loyal ASUS consumer this is how I feel about the situation and the situation it puts me in when deciding on products to purchase. Some people don't care and just buy stuff. Well I do care and meticulously hand picked this build. The other halo card is awesome but I wanted 100% ROG build. I feel completely uneasy with this last piece.InWin 909 Silver RGB build

You are correct and that is the issue at hand. I see the preorders in Europe and one even says published (available) as of 4-14-19. At least you have retailers willing to take the time to setup preorder links. I am beginning to believe it's not happening because all of the normal processes aren't being used in this rollout. You know a news article, maybe a post, some hype from a retailer about how great this is and you should pre-order now you know normal stuff. In the USA it's radio silence.

Haha, thank you! I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to drive some cool cars; I own much simpler cars though - a '18 Subaru STi Type RA and a '15 Honda Civic Si Coupe - awesome daily driver haha.

This is exactly what Asus needs to be focusing on currently, they've got a competitive equivalent and yet we know nothing more today than we did after CES2019.
What's even more important is the demographic that the Matrix 2080Ti is aimed towards, these aren't your standard gpu consumers and it's disheartening that Asus has either directly or indirectly kept us in the dark?InWin D-Frame 459/500

I have a Volvo S80 T6. She may not be the most agile athlete but she does have some inline six torque aided by twin turbos. And she can comfortably sit me, my wife, two daughters, a Mastiff/Shepherd mix, Rottweiler and have enugh room left over for groceries and the wife's shoe shopping spree.
But it's nice to hop into a German engineered machine now and again and enjoy the brief feeling of freedom.I'd like to deploy my troops in her country.

I can assure you that I'm of that mindset, it's for that reason that I'm here questioning Asus' ability to interact with their consumers, versus buying a competitor's card.
Please know that I don't want to be brushed off and pushed towards buying a competitor's card because I'm challenging Asus' ability to communicate with their vendors and even their own customer support teams; I'm sure you're astute enough to know that I'm bright enough to already know what my current options are. At the end of the day I'm an Asus customer, not EVGA, so please don't attempt to pass off a customer because of Asus' poor communication regarding the Matrix 2080Ti.
All that I'm after is a cogent response, that's it. Tell me the card will be ready in a month, two months and that's fine. I'm not asking for a lot, just information that Asus should be more than capable of providing.
Thank you for continuing to respond, I appreciate it.Last edited by SatinWhitePearl; 04-09-2019 at 06:01 PM.
