Extreme xi huge vdroop

I think my board is f'ed. Installed it yesterday. 9900k. Seeing vdroop from 1.35 down to 1.30 under load. Setting the voltage manually. LLC 7. LLC 8 does no better. I can't get an overshoot even if I wanted it. Crashes my system every time. Disappointed. Anyone else experience this problem?

Both of my Formula XI and APEX XI doesn't overshoot either and on both vdroop is the same. LLC6 with Linpack load i got vdroop from 1.330v to 1.234v, LLC7 to 1.244v and i think it's okay according to CPU load. Under Linpack i'm getting 300W CPU powerpackage and 550GFlops perfomance.

Hi,

This has been covered quite extensively already. This is due to how the measurements are taken, as the boards are now using differential measurement rather than socket sense.

Thanks for the reply's. Something was wrong with the first board I posted about. The drop was much more than expected and was causing some serious crashing. The replacement board works perfectly. I'm back to stable at 5.4 @ 1.4 at LLC 7 with a normal drop to 1.368 under load. I was more than relieved when the new board ran as expected.
