Question Max. resolution of 7680x4320? What does this mean?

I have a PH-GTX1060-3G at my office computer,
I'm wanting to run three 4k monitors.

According to spec sheet, the PH-GTX1060-3G lists a max resolution of 7680x4320

I have asked on a few other forums and the feedback doesn't seem to be very clear,
    Some people are saying:
    • The listed spec of 7680x4320 is the max resolution of the card across all outputs (therefore only two 4k panels)
    • The 7680x4320 is the max for ONE output (which doesn't make sense to me since HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 can only run a single 4k?)

My assumption is that this means the GPU can handle up to a max resolution oftwo 4k?

Is there anywhere I can look towards some official clarification?

    thank you!

    Hi ronsarlo

Welcome to the ROG forum !

    7860 x 4320 = 8k resolution.

Your second answer, 7860 x 4320 for each output is correct except for DVI.

    Displayport 1.2 supports 4k @60Hz
    HDMI 2.0 supports 4k @60Hz

    Displayport 1.4 supports 8k @60Hz
    HDMI 2.1 supports 8k @60Hz

The ASUS Pheonix 1060 3GB has two HDMI outputs, two Displayport outputs and one DVI output, you should be able to run three 4k monitors with HDMI 2.0 and Displayport 1.2 cables.
