Rampage 4 Extreme - SSD RAID-0 Speed

BOLTS4BREKFAST

I just upgraded my SSD RAID-0 Previously I had (4 Intel 320 Series 120GB SATAII - All plugged into the 4 black SATAII Ports on the Rampage IV Extreme.)

I now have 2 Samsung 830 Series 256GB SATA3 SSD's in RAID-0 - Both plugged into the 2 Red Intel SATA3 Slots on the Rampage IV Extreme...

At first I tried to clone from the Intel RAID-0 To my Samsung RAID-0... and to make a long story short.. it didnt work. I spent over 6 hours trying to make it work! I finally got it to clone from RAID to RAID.. but then I couldnt get the SAMSUNG RAID-0 to boot!

So i ended up doing a clean install...

I was worried that I was wasting money on the 2 Samsung drives because 2 drives might saturate the intel raid controller! And i really wasnt able to find a post online about someone trying the 2 Samsung drives on the Intel C600 Onboard RAID Controller...

I am very impressed with my RAID-0 SATA3 Speeds!

Before i post a picture of the benchmark... Note that with the Intel 320 Series RAID-0 (4 SSD's) I was getting about 750MB/s SEQUENTIAL READ and about 550MB/s SEQUENTIAL WRITE

Anyone else have a RAID-0 SATA3 Setup? What are your speeds?

I have two Intel 520's. Same settings, of course as you turn up the % of non compressible data, score on a sf drive will go down. But these 520's are holding up real well. Been in R0 for almost 4 weeks now.

You're not using the Intel RST Enterprise drivers? I notice your driver says "iastor" the enterprise driver is "iastorA"

That is correct. The E driver is just too slow for me so I tried the 11 series and a major bump in bench's. 😄

On another matter at some point does the need to type in the image verification go away?
