Hi,

I noticed today that suddenly some driver pages have duplicated driver entries where version did not change, just file size and date.

VGA

Version 25.20.100.6471
2019/04/04 340.19 MBytes
Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver

RS5 WHQL.

Version 25.20.100.6471
2019/01/24 340.25 MBytes

Due to the different structure for drivers, suggest you remove the old driver first before install this version driver.

Yea I mentioned in another post it looked they added today's date to drivers less current than we're getting posted here on the fourm. Also, the UAD driver looks very odd and possible incorrect? it is FF03 which does mean nahimic integration, but the file name is saying something about DTS...which I didnt think we had on these boards. Nor has that been mentioned in any other driver update.

From the maximus x code page.
Realtek Audio Driver
V8468_WHQL_20180621_DTSCustom1.06_DTSHPX1.73_SonicSuite3.6.42_FF03_RS4

(NEW_DigitalSignature)

Wonder if theyre just resigning drivers due to the shadowhammer debacle? not sure how that works.

hmm, DTS HPX is something i have on my PRIME Z370-A (not a ROG), so indeed it should be Nahimic and not that one on the one you mentioned.. what a bloody mess.
So indeed perhaps all are the same drivers, just with updated signing due suspected malware issue. Unless this is a technical mistake.

Anyways i thought that's more relevant to laptops using the Live Update utility.

Also have looked on the post you have mentioned, so i guess that even if we try to update, it will notify us that we already have an equivalent or higher version installed.

One more thing i noticed that indicates this is a resign, every file has an "R" suffix next to the date: 20190401R
Still wondering why haven't they re-signed all.

Oh so some boards do have DTS, good to know. Yea seems like a big screwup somewhere along the line. Which sound drivers have you been using may I ask. The regular UAD with nahimic they post here, or some other version? Also its weird that version I posted was like 5 times the size a normal UAD.

I'm using the Realtek UAD DTX HPX W10 x64 6.0.1.8496 which was released last year, as there was no update ever since for my board (also checked with support team). I don't think my board will support Nahimic, as it installs the DTS software and HPX addon from the Microsoft store as soon as you install this driver i have mentioned.
Another thing i noticed in regards to the thread is that some files have "updated driver certificate" in the description (software updates mainly).

Same with ROG Z370-E drivers and tools page ~ has ASUS checked on this yet? I hope there are no malwares on these drivers

Seems like someone from the team have went over the driver page (at least for PRIME Z370-A) and removed some of the duplicates (left the new resigns), and also added a new entry for Intel RST that was missing.
