I might be inclined to try those GPUs in another board to see if they really are burned up or not. I've had similar problem with an older Core2Quad system and PCI slots that would randomly stop working for no apparent reason.

It's very unlikely that the MB is the root cause of burning up the cards....not saying that it can't happen....but it is at the low end of the spectrum....these cards seem to be working initially and over a period of time before they seem to fail....if there was a short somewhere in the board...one would think that this would occur almost instantly...which is not the case.....which leads me to believe it's possible that you are incurring some sort of power surge for whatever reason.....Question ??...you have returned multiple cards...has the retailer checked the cards to deem them DOA ? or was the return/ exchange without question ?...if the latter...then you have no idea whether the cards are actually functioning or not and simply identifying the MB as the root...I understand that you have tried another PS with same results....Were the same pcie cables used as well ?..if so...issue may be within the cables...dunno...but I would definitely look towards the power souce...whether it's supply from the wall or the PS itself....as mentioned before...you can always RMA the board for piece of mind in the end....
