I gave up on WaterCool's HeatKiller GPU blocks. They weren't responding to any communications and I had waited over 2 weeks already, I should have done more research on doing business direct with WaterCool before I ordered those even though the HeatKiller GPU blocks have great reviews. Those folks at Performance PCs have treated me well and filled all my orders (many orders) same day for a nominal fee and delivered everything on time so far. One more package should show today with the rest of the parts I need.

There is an interesting issue with certain ASUS RTX 2080 TI cards and the EK GPU blocks for them, see this link for more details:

All my parts have arrived! I also wanted to give a shout out to Andrew Lemont at IC Diamond too. Thanks for all the support over the years and I am a die hard fan of IC Diamond. Given this CPUs uneven IHS IC Diamond was the perfect compound and really helped me achieve my temperatures necessary to get my great CPU score in 3D Mark. I have used IC Diamond for many many years and highly recommend it to others. I will be using it on my 2 GPUs today as well.

My last shout out is to EK, they provided my CPU and VRM blocks directly and shipped them immediately and I received them in just a few days. Although I didn't get the GPU blocks and backplates directly from them I look forward to using those as well. Without their CPU and VRM blocks I would not have been able to get the great CPU score I got in 3D Mark. I have used EK CPU, VRM, and Mono block for years now and they have never let me down. I even used them in my custom chiller loop I built a while back.

Well I shouldn't have said my last shout out was EK. I have 2 more. 1 is to Intel for building this stellar CPU at such a great cost/value. The best CPU on the market today and the best CPU I have ever owned. Finally to ASUS. The ASUS Dominus Extreme MB is wicked sick! Once again the best MB in the world today bar none. The BIOS is just the best of breed and a pleasure to work with/use. The features of the MB are just far too many to list. I have used ASUS MBs since I started building custom rigs many many years ago and they never let me down and perform awesome. I even built a custom chiller and used an ASUS Workstation MB with it. I love ASUS hardware and cannot get enough of it. My 2 GPUs are ASUS as well and I look forward to putting them under water and getting some great 3D Mark scores with them as well.

I would like to get this combo so much but the pricing is unfortunately out of the question as for many people even though I have bought 7980XE and R6E.I hope Intel would announce something more affordable in Computex. Very cool build and thanks for sharing the info and pictures.

Here goes my latest CPU score after changing my loop again getting it ready for the GPUs. I am so close to moving up 1 more spot, my score is now 17060 (Even if I don't move up anymore I am very happy with that score on water, I just can't get 5.0 GHz on water, still at 4.9 GHz):

Should be something coming up in Q3 for people not looking to spend the amount of cash they would flying around the world and back on a CPU and MB.

No dice on the EK GPU blocks. Even removing the inner standups per their direction claiming ASUS changed the design didn't work. That left the GPU with nothing holding it tight to the water block. I spent all day on it and could not get it to work, I was going to go to the hardware store and get screws the same thread size as the standoffs but they wouldn't fit through the pcb. I am bummed out and exhausted. I just got the GPUs back on air running like they were before but with upgraded IC Diamond TIM on them at least. If ASUS did change the design I am skeptical there are any water blocks that will work with my cards.

I was able to get 5.0 GHz running, I didn't like the volts it took. The CPU scores where lower than my 4.9 GHz so I gave up on 5.0 GHz, it definitely throttled.

Interesting note when I was messing with my GPUs yesterday I forgot to plug the power in one and the BIOS said hey why don't you plug the power in that GPU message (not in those words but still it was pretty cool it knew they were missing).

So I am pretty much done messing with benching (I don't have any faith I can get GPU water blocks that work, I feel I made a mistake buying those particular ASUS GPUs, ROG-STRIX-RTX2080TI-O11G-GAMING). I set my daily 24x7 4.6 GHz all cores and 3200 MHz memory back and away I go using this rig for work only pretty much now. One other cool note is I benched the entire time with 128GB. I wish I coulda got 192GB but the memory G Skill announced for this board never materialized. Nor did Corsair produce any although I never saw them announce anything either. Also I can pull a radiator since I am not putting the GPUs under water and now I have a few case options.

Those Koolance Quick Disconnects where invaluable in my loop configurations I tried. I could change anything anywhere w/o physically disconnecting any compression fittings whatsoever. I could also change hose lengths easily between parts. And dumping the reservoir and/or doing anything with it was a breeze could easily disconnect it from the loop do my thing and connect it back up.
