Somehow this seems to be the ultimate "workstation" that allows for some gaming. I myself would not run SLI. Somehow the glitter has really fallen of that piece of "technology". One fast Titan-card would fit better with your build.
I have no idea if the VROC rules have changed. I never tried a VROC key before so I am going to try it and see if I can RAID 0 those Samsung 970 Pros and boot off them. If I can't I will use them as a data drive and add a 512GB boot NVMe PCIe SSD like I used in my current rig. I am going to bench is why I did the SLI 2080 TI cards.

And yeah I have that exact predicament with 8x Intel 900ps wired to 2x Hyper x16 cards in RAID 0 as a data drive and there are cables every where its a mess. I am fed up with that is why you don't see it in my new build and I do not want to take up 32 lanes for drives.

So I bought this to start out with for something to hold this beast on my card table
HPTX Top Deck Tech Station Kit
    http://www.highspeedpc.com/product_p...ation_hptx.htm

I am putting it on air until my water cooling parts show up on this cooler: Dynatron B14 3U Active CPU Cooler (mistake its for a square and not narrow ilm)

Should have enough of the parts to stand it up Friday night crossing my fingers.

As far as a long term case I'll keep looking/taking advice.

Another option might be for me to build a box for the Rads and just connect them up to that test bench not sure yet.

One other note I landed on water cooling because I want a stable system to run 24x7 but also have way above average OCing and I want to have some fun benching.

    I looked at:
    Phase change
    Air
Custom Sub-Zero with an air conidtioner (I have done this in the past successfully 24x7 but it can be tempermental)
Some weird ceramic plate thingy that disapates heat
    Etc.

Water cooling is just much more straight forward. And when I black out that reservoir, add a silver coil, use distilled water, and Petra's tech PT_Nuke -PHN Biocide that loop will be 100% maintenance free for the lifetime of the rig. I have not had issues with this approach in the past with my loops.

I am quite sure it wont work with the 970 Pro. The SM961s from Samsung will work also the P4500-series from Intel. More conveniently the 7600p works (not to be confused with consumer 760p).

I know it can handle a 560 in the front and a 480 on the top, but the third one has to go on the "side" and then the maximum is 360mm. This is with a dual-PSU build. Even with the EEB form factor the 560+480+360 (12cm) is doable.

The Delta PFB1212UHE-F00 fan is 38mm thick. That is my concern with the fan/rad thickness. I am going to email them and ask. The case is really sweet.

Well it hasn't showed up yet but I ordered it and have a tracking number from NewEgg. I also saw on 3DMark a user who posted a decent score who stats said they had it. NewEgg still says they have it for sale on their site.

Well I didn't expect this. I got a tracking number from EK today. They shipped my CPU and VRM blocks via DHL Express. It says they will be here Friday too. That is crazy fast shipping (I didn't pay for fast shipping) considering I bought them yesterday (it said pre-order on their site still too).
