Charlie, did you look at the strange Dimm.2 lane sharing with the PCIEx16 slots? It appears they didn't use a PLX chip in the build.

Yes I saw that. I am ok with the PCIe sharing I guess and I actually prefer it to a PLX chip it should be faster for my setup. The diagram confused me at first. Let me see if I got this straight. The DIMM.2 card 1 ports 1 & 2 can use the PCIe slot 2 or 4's bandwidth at x8. The DIMM.2 card 2 port 1 uses the PCIe slot 3's bandwidth at x4 and port 2 uses the PCIe slot 2's bandwidth at x4.

So I will use the DIMM.2 card 1 both ports at x8 for my 2x 1TB Samsung 970 Pro PCIe NVMe SSDs in VROC RAID 0. That takes up all of PCIe slot 4's bandwith effectively making that slot unusable.

If I can't boot that RAID 0 with the Intel VROC Key installed I'll have to add a 512GB Samsung 960 Pro I have already in DIMM.2 card 2 port 2 using the PCIe slot 2's bandwidth at x4. This SSD will still boot and run on a VROC VMD contoller I do it today with my R6E w/o a VROC key.

Then I should have PCIe slots 1 and 3 to run at x16 for my 2 RTX2080 TI GPUs.

I hope this is the case and works out worse case I use 44 lanes best case I use 40 of the total 48 lanes. And I will not actually be sharing any lanes.

Hopefully my VROC dreams work out. Otherwise I'll be using both DIMM.2 cards 3 of the 4 slots. Either way I think I should be good lane and slot wise. Not adding anything else.

    What do you think?

Bummer, Oh well guess I am adding that 3rd Samsung PCIe NVMe SSD then to boot from.

OK here is the mfg response:

    Hi Charles

Please check the images attached for the Enthoo Elite interior's clearance .You should able to mounting your 480mm radiators Black Ice Nemesis 480GTX with 38mm fans to the top ,middle and bottom at the same time .

Looks like that case is a go for my long term solution. I need to study it a wee bit more and just think it through with the Iwaki RD 30 pump, my res, gpu spacing on backend, etc. before I buy it but it looks promising.

G75rog, I think I have changed my mind about my loop and I am going back to my original thought of:
    Res->Pump->Rad->CPU->VRM->Rad->GPU->Rad->GPU->Res

Here is why. The Iwaki RD 30 dumps a decent amount of heat in the loop. I know normally the order isn't a big factor due to the loop normalizing the temp throughout. But given my pump choice and the fact I want the best OC result I can sending the coolest water straight to the CPU seems best to me.

    Case Problems

I’m sorry to say, I’ve got both the Enthoo Elite and Obsidian 1000D. The former will not work for the Dominus board (absent mods). The latter will, but boy is it an awful fit. You end up losing all of the cable throughputs... I’ve ended up with everything just sitting and awaiting a proper case to go to market, like an InWin 928... hope someone has a more immediate solution. **

Thank you for your feedback on the cases. It is great to hear from someone who owns both cases and the MB/parts. So I am sticking with my test bench then. Did you see it?

HPTX Top Deck Tech Station Kit

At least something to hold a few things together. I am going to build a box for the water cooling parts then too. Until something better comes long that's my plan.

I made my first of I am sure many mistakes. The air cooler I bought:
Dynatron B14 3U Active CPU Cooler
Is a square not narrow ilm. So much for bringing it up on air Friday. I can't find a narrow ilm one that will get here before my water cooling parts. Well w/o paying as much for shipping as the cooler costs.

So I have some paranoia about any water leaks given the cost of this build. So I was thinking of using:
Permatex 80050 Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Apply it around the outside of my fittings in three areas. Where the fitting contacts the block, where the fitting connector locks down/touches at the bottom of the fitting, and where the tubing goes into the top of the fitting. This would be applied all on the outside after the fitting and tubing were all connected. Has anyone ever had any experience with using this kind of stuff? Any recommendations of what to do not to do?

Was thinking of using this to apply it:
    Bstean Syringe Blunt Tip Needle and Cap - 10ml, 5ml, 3ml, 1ml Syringes 14ga 16ga 18ga 20ga Blunt Needles - Oil or Glue Applicator (Pack of 10)
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And this to clean it if/when needed:
    MR.SIGA Melamine Sponge, 48 Count, Size 3.1" x 2" x 1"
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
