What's the benefit of the 5D microcode?

This question is like asking why install the latest Nvidia drivers for example (assuming they can work better or worse in some scenes)...

It's the latest microcode, guess is the next step trying to improve cpu security/performance...

I'm using this microcode without any problems, neither temperature related.
