I don't mind the design language, although some things can be slightly over the top.
What I don't like is : REPUBLIC OF GAMERS !
Now that's Corny AF. I think the ROG Eye is self explanatory and self sufficient in branding just like Nike check.
For example new Helios case. Front: Rog logo and near bottom : Republic of Gamers. Now that written part is unnecessary and frankly slightly off putting.

RGB stuff destroy image of high end parts, special if you use as much possible colorfull scheme.
I would never paid Keyboard with RGB, I thought backlight will be welcomed but I don't use even that.
Off all RGB Memory only CORSAIR Dominator Platinum RGB have nice look.

The Republic of Gamers branding has been around a loooong time as technology products go. It predates the black & red color scheme. So at the time I'm sure it sounded cool to the marketing guy who thought it up. It likely didn't get a lot of A/B testing and they may not have expected it to last, but here we are. At least they've embraced the ROG acronym. Can you imagine them spelling it out everywhere it's used?

ROG as brand doesn't bother me. Back when ROG hit the scene, gamers were the driving force behind custom pc building. They still are. So I understand the angle they took. As someone said above, they are going more with the "ROG" and not "Republic of Gamers" on everything, so its all good.
RGB doesn't bother me at all. You can readily disable it and it's there as an option. I don't do the whole moving rainbow thing...but I do like static colors to accent the build. I also need my backlit keyboard. I play in darkness often.
Design wise...well....I must confess it's become over the top. The headphones are hideous. The Claymore keyboard is too garish. The "angular" theme is a bit overdone throughout the brand. Although I like RGB as a good option, I prefer clean and simple designs. Less is more IMO.Last edited by mdzcpa; 04-19-2019 at 12:58 AM.
