I'd try contacting both Intel and Amazon. My 9980 xe looked something like this. Click image for larger version.

Yours there is a ES sample so it could be a 9980XE but its a test sample that Intel sends out before the CPU is released these are not meant to be sold.

I got the photo from Google Images, to be exact. But there were no Chinese characters on my 990 XE. It looked "something" like that. There wasnt any plastic coating on it either.

Damn, that's brutal. I guess you can't take a box sealed with an Intel sticker for granted anymore. Sneaky *******s.

You need to flash a modded BIOS so you can enable VROC so you can use your 4 SSD'S in raid

    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...ios-Rampage-VI

Let me know once you install this BIOS which has the most up to date firmware for your mobo.

Thank you man, so much appreciated, do u think I can use my m.2 drives as VROC ? BTW I have the Intel Key for that , the Standard One. but In Normal BIOS I can't use Raid even with KEY since the drives not INTEL Branded, I have SAMSUNG drives.
