Strix Raid Pro DLX - issues with card not being detected

I'm really starting to lose my patience.

My Strix Raid Pro sound card stopped being detected by Windows 10. Has anyone got any ideas? Any at all? It worked perfectly Since 1 November 2017 when I bought it. System is i7 6700k, Asus Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1, Samsung Pro 850 SSD, Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4 ram. Windows 10 Pro versions below.

Upon reading about the issue I've been trying a few things. I have put the card in three different PCI-E ports.

Steps so far - there are reboots after every stage:

  • Uninstalled Asmedia USB3.1

  • Uninstalled Sonic Studio

  • Re-installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected - cannot install Sonic if card not detected

  • Reinstalled Windows 10 to the 1709 version

  • Installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected - cannot install Sonic if card not detected

  • Uninstalled Asmedia USB3.1

  • Re-installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected - cannot install Sonic if card not detected

  • Installed Windows 10 version 1703 (pre-Fall Creators Update)

  • Sound card starts clicking like a machine gun through the entire install of windows

  • Installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected - cannot install Sonic if card not detected

  • Uninstalled Asmedia USB3.1

  • Re-installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card detected - can install Sonic

  • Sound card starts working for 5 minutes then stops

  • Multiple reboots and sound card does not reappear

  • Uninstalled Asmedia USB3.1

  • Re-installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Installed Windows 10 1809

  • Installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected

  • Updated to Windows 1903 (the new May 2019 update)

  • Installed Asmedia USB3.1

  • Sound card not detected

That's it I'm done. I'm going to clean all my Asus kit out and start with another brand. Anyone recommend Gigabyte?

Anyone in New Zealand, I'm listing all my asus stuff on Trademe.

Strix Soar Pro sound card
Sabertooth z170 Mark 1 mobo
Asus ROG STRIX GTX1080TI
24" ROG Swift 180hz monitor
My Asus Zenbook, not sure of model but will put it in the listings.

Good luck. My advice ditch Asus.

Dear Asus,

we cannot use our sound cards because they are not being detected by Windows after we boot the pc.
Can you please fix this issue? Many people with soundcards from the Strix series on Win 10 are affected.

Moreover, when trying to install the Strix Audio software it just fails with the error "Hardware not detected".
There have been mentions of this issue online for almost one year now.

I cant use my sound card either. After Windows 10 1903 update, actually it was a few updates ago my sound card stopped working properly with Windows updates. It was the LAST Windows update it stopped working. I reset my windows back to factory state , no updates. Sound card is in device manager. After the last few updates. Asus Strix not detected in device manager. Cant install drivers with no device detected (and even if i could, the Sonic Studio doesnt wrk because of the sound card not detected error anyway). I hope they fix this soon. They really need to be like Nvidea/AMD GPU cards. Constantly updating their drivers for every Windows update, if they are going to be a manufacturer that works with WIndows 10. I bought this card FOR Windows 10. I could blame Microsoft, maybe its their fault, but whoever's fault it is, i'd like it fixed with ASUS and Microsoft working together to make sure hardware, software and Operating systems is compatible after every update. I know people that used Ubuntu and the sound card is registering for them. As a test. As soon as they go back to the computer with windows 10 after certain updates. It doesn't work. SO it has to be a OS and motherboard and Sound card hardware issue. Im using an ASUS motherboard the z87-c lol, ffs.
