PCIe lane distribution on Strix X299-X(E) mobo?

Pardon me if this has been asked before, but are either of the two M.2 slots on the X299X/XE Gaming motherboard routed straight to the CPU, or do they both go via the chipset? Any documentation etc I've read has been unclear, or not said anything about it.

Thanks! 🙂

don't worry about PCIe lanes if you have a cpu with 44 Number of PCI Express Lanes

if your cpu is less then i worry

No, they both go through the PCH controller. Only the extreme with DIMM.2 has one of them that can be set for CPU of PCH
