X-Hero VRM temps?

What's a normal VRM idle temp for the Maximus X Hero? Mine's sitting at 35C but I thought that it usually sat closer to the CPU idle temps?

On release day the first few batches of the Maximus X Hero had a vrm sensor, then it got removed on later boards.
You can check using HWiNFO64 under the Asus EC section, VRM temps are monitored there.
If you don't see VRM listed then your board does not have a sensor.

That is what I've been told as well. Guess I was lucky to get one from the early batches. @bass junkie xl, I run a delidded 8700K also and the VRM rarely breaks 50C under sustained load. The VRM's are very good on this board, you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah looks like it's not there, it's usually above PCH. 😞 You can try looking in HWinFO under hidden items. You may be able to set a 10K thermal sensor wire up near the VRM but I'm not sure how accurate it would be. Does anyone know where exactly the VRM temp sensor is located?
