Samsung EVO or QVO SSD for maximus xi hero board?

According to the device QVL document for this motherboard, it only lists the Samsung EVO SSD as suitable device, not the QVO.

Does that mean the cheaper Samsung QVO SSDs wouldn't work with the board/cause instability/performance issues?

on the area on SSD and nvme is a guide only. you can use any ssd you like. Many QVL are products tested on the board, and they have on hand. QVO sata is economical, but have the same connection as any sata ssd. since Samsung QVO are new, many doe snot get tested at the moment the officials documents are made.

    Thanks for explaining that.

Would I be at any disadvantage in going with QVO's ?

They are significantly cheaper to buy than EVO's.

Are we sure we're not missing something here?
