Question About the Z390 ASUS MAXIMUS XI Hero WiFi Onboard NVME Slot.

Hello, first time poster here just had a question regarding the 2x NVME slots built on the MAXIMUS XI Hero motherboard. Do the NVME slots connect directly to the CPU sharing bandwidth with the 16x PCI-E lane or do they connect through using PCH / DMI / Intel Chipset Interface.
