I live in EU, and in my area I simply cannot get stable connection on the third band of my router, I can only select 100-140 channels, using DFS the router constantly switches channels, and the connection becomes very unusable. According to my MacBooks WIFI scanner channel 161 should be the best in my area, but cannot go above channel 140.

Is it possible to activate channels above 140, make the router "think" it is in US or what ever hack, to get at stable WIFI signal on my router?*
