I tried all the usb ports doesn't make a difference. Something to do with the keyboard itself. Was fine on my first gen 1700x but i never tried the later bios with that chip. My mouse doesn't make the bios freeze just the M500 steel series keyboard, lots of people are having this issue with the later bioses.

    Ok, update!

I forgot I had a prime x370-pro in the box in my basement! Updated the bios and installed the 3900X, AND IT WORKS!!

So, now to figure out what problem my C6HWIFI has!

yeah your mobo dont works properly. i was reading another user have the same issue with a c6h(no-wifi). I was thinking to a faulty CPU(my mistake) but it is clear that it happens with some boards only. with old revision maybe(?). which revision do you have?

The bios atm is what i would consider a beta, it has lot of bugs and issues with memory compatibility with the new gen cpus. I would wait for another bios release the board is highly unlikely to be faulty.

Well, Asus states themselfes that from 7002(7003) the C6H(WIFI) is 3900X compatible. In NO BIOS iteration from 7003 and onwards does my board function with 3900X. My RAM is QVL listed for that board.

With Prime X370-Pro my 3900X works with latest BIOS. My RAM is NOT listed in QVL for that board.

This was tested with same conditions.

My conclusion is that the C6HWIFI is faulty per defintion.

On a sidenote: the prime board *seems* to operate smoother than the C6HWIFI ever did.

I'll throw myself in the ring with another 07 bios code with the 3900x installed in a VI hero. I would bet $ it's a memory issue guys. Guess I'll wait for another bios update.
