quick question.. any reason why my board gives me C5 error on this scenario. I have played with many settings. It refuses to cold boot with my saved settings.
I have to reset bios, load optimized reboot , set Dram V to 1.4, reboot, then load profile, then it will go in windows no issues and run perfect. when i shut down and turn back on it gives me C5 errors.

I am just trying to run it with XMP for now - i have tried doing same sequence as above as well and manually typing in the XMP settings, same issue.

    moar UEFI 2501

    3800MHz 1:1:1 C16 GDME

    ZIP 1 of data link.

    ZIP 2 of data link.

Benches last 6 screenies of this album.

Note: The CB R15 multi score of 1676 has not scaled better than another PBO+150MHz run because of 3800MHz RAM, but having lower room temp allowed more sustained boosting. Below is CB R15 at PBO+200MHz, scales past usual PBO+150MHz, but really is not at it's best if I ref the 1676 result.

All the R5 3600/R7 2700X data in CB is from C7H, the other Ryzen CPUs are from C6H.

    PBO+200MHz 1669
    PBO+150MHz 1665/1663
    PBO+75MHz 1646
    Stock is 1632

    All R5 3600 results using RAM 3600MHz, 1:1:1, The Stilt's 3466MHz timings, 1T GDMD.

Sorry for delayed response, can busy with things and posting on other forums.

Have you set VBOOT same as VDIMM? VBOOT is last setting in External Digi+ Control menu found on Extreme Tweaker?

No problem , below is screenie of my setup. Perhaps setup VBoot/VDIMM, save & exit, then apply an increased RAM clock.

Well today I have managed to knock SOC/VDDG from 1.062V/1.013V set in UEFI to 1.037V/0.987V for the 3800MHz profile.

Initial setup tested to ~3000%, then on full post from shutdown ~15000%, rerun on same post ~3300%, link to data zip.

    Profile ZIP below.

I have found even though the lowered SOC/VDDG was stable, I lost performance, this data ZIP (organise files by time to see process).

    My 3900X experience

I received my 3900X from Best Buy yesterday and was going to wait until ASUS came out with a new BIOS update for the Crosshair VII before installing the new CPU. After monitoring various threads concerning the Ryzen 3000 experiences I decided to give it a try. So, installed BIOS 2501 keeping my 2700X in place the check out if it basically worked as before before installing the new CPU. Knowing the various issues this BIOS has was really helpful in avoiding problems. The system worked as expected just running on default settings with the 2700X. So, I installed the 3900X and was able to boot into windows on the default settings. Next I starting OC'ing my RAM. My ram's default OC frequency is 2933 MHz and no issue with this initial setting, so long as I set the VBOOT voltage to 1.4 volts. Currently I have the memory running at 3400 MHz in coupled mode with the RAM voltage set 1.35 and VBOOT still set 1.4 volts. Tried going to 3600 MHz but got the dreaded C5 boot code, so I had to return back 3400 MHz. Maybe increasing VBOOT 1.45 will correct that issue. Also I have not messed with any of the memory timings, they are currently set to 14 14 14 14 80 34 14 596 for the first 2 rows as viewed with RM.

Running Cinebench R20 for 2 minutes, I know not that long, saw my cpu temp get up to about 76 deg C with a multi thread score of 7225.

Overall really happy with how smooth this upgrade has gone.

Yes i matched the vboot to vdimm d.c.o.p settings NO issues. I didn't have time to play with over clocking the ram yesterday, but happy its running well as is atm.

    Nice .

VTTDDR when left on [Auto] is not following rule of 1/2 VDIMM, can just stick at 0.600V. This setting can affect RAM stability and clock ability gains. I had not noted this as been going manual for pretty much all voltages. Another owner on OCN noted this, I checked on UEFI 2501 and also see same behaviour.

I was wowed by being able to use 3800MHz on C7H, but the icing on the cake is 4x8GB at 3800MHz, 1:1:1 (MEMCLK:FCLK:UCLK).

Data ZIP, further testing continuing for this profile/setup.
