Looking forward for the 3900X I have on order, my dual rank 2x16GB B-Die is impossible to get stable above 3400c16/1T. Windows runs at 3466, but it's not membench stable. 3400 is super stable. It's larger sticks, and dual rank, so there will be no memory records but I hope for the rumoured better IMC in Ryzen 3000 to gain at least something

Bandwith is OK as is, in the 52.5GB/s region in AIDA, latency is 71ns, which is suppose is ok for non cl14 sticks.

    I have experienced:-

    3x R7 1700
    2x R7 1800X
    1X TR1950X
    3x 2700X

Used boards C6H/C7H/ZE/ZEA, with several kits of RAM, like G.SKill 3200MHz C14, 3600MHz C15, 4000MHz C18 and how easy it was to gain 3600MHz C15 1T on R5 3600 on C7H has me grinning ear to ear.

Yeah the CPU OC is not wild like I have seen on say Q6600 G0 or i5 4690K I had, but damn the power meter is shocking me with R5 3600.

Idle on my setup is ~70w, RAM Test load is ~120W, 2700X IIRC was somewhere around 180W (will double check when swap again).

For my uses of tinkering on the C7H the R5 is sipping power! I do hope 3rd gen comes to SP3r2 socket.

As I type this post PBO+100MHz is being tested .

Merge this:- W10 core parking.zip (only for W10)

100% = disabled, but if you check Ryzen Master you will see cores sleep (ie power gate) on idle.

    @Duvar

Sweet . Yeah I posted into OS with 3800MHz C15 1T last night and was like OMG!

Day or so earlier I set 3733MHz on 3600MHz profile (so voltages, etc not enough) and corrupted OS . As I had image to hand within 3min I was back on OC trail .

Any how been busy with things to do an update in thread.

So all start with some important things IMO.

I had been sharing data on OCN about my exploits, another member noted CLDO_VDDP in Ryzen Master was showing ~1.1V when I was on 3666MHz RAM. Stock should be 0.900V. The Stilt confirmed this does occur and is based on an auto rule by AMD FW not ASUS. As this voltage is limited by the setting of SOC, which I was only using 1.043V IIRC it never reached ~1.1V effective. So I would lock CLDO_VDDP manually in UEFI to 0.900V. VDDP seems stock is 1.05V, I have also locked this, just in case some [Auto] rule sends it to level we may not want.

Next up CPU-Z NB Frequency on Memory tab was thought to be FCLK by me and some others. This was pointed out to me as wrong in private message by Johan45 aka Shawn Jennings on OC. It is UCLK, the unified memory controller clock, The Stilt has also stated this in his thread on OCN.

    The Stilt's post links:-

    Regarding VDDCR_SOC & CLDO_VDDP, link.

    Regarding CLDO_VDDP, link.

    Regarding CPU-Z NB Frequency, link.

So far my CPU is profiling like this:-

Without CPU OC this is how my CPU sits with MEMCLK/FCLK/UCLK 1:1:1:-

    3533S SOC: 1.025V CLDO_VDDG: 0.985V VDIMM: 1.35V
    3600S SOC: 1.025V CLDO_VDDG: 0.985V VDIMM: 1.355V
    3666S SOC: 1.043V CLDO_VDDG: 1.003V VDIMM: 1.385V ProcODT: 48

Highest RAM profile is repeat pass in Kahru RAM Test of ~3000%, yet to run other tests. When combining it with PBO+150MHz it seems I need higher SOC & CLDO_VDDG.

    3666S with PBO+150MHz PPT: 142W TDC: 95A EDC: 140A Scalar: 6x:-

SOC: 1.043V CLDO_VDDG: 1.003V fails ~400% tested twice in RAM Test
SOC: 1.050V CLDO_VDDG: 1.010V fails ~800% tested twice in RAM Test
SOC: 1.056V CLDO_VDDG: 1.016V fails ~1890% tested once in RAM Test

Upto PBO+100MHz I do not need to adjust scalar to have nice ACB of upto 4.3GHz in RAM Test. Over +100MHz I need to adjust this to have improved sustainable all cores frequency. +125MHz IIRC needs at least 4x, +150MHz seems right with 6x, not tried 7x yet. Below video will show clocks, etc.

My go to profile is PBO+150MHz Scalar: 6x, then 3600MHz C15 1T using The Stilt's 3466MHz timings, this has worked on UEFI 2406, 0068, 2501 without effort and voltages needed are nice and default like. Any gain on RAM MHz, timings is diminishing returns for increased voltages.

So today was testing tailored towards length, here is screen capture video showing this, Kahru RAM Test ~17000%. The CPU does not go to idle near end of video as screen capture SW is running. This profile has also been rerun, so far ~4600%.

The keypoint was changing ProcODT from default of 60 to 40, the voltages are only +6mV on SOC over default, +6mV on VDDG over default, +5mV on VDIMM. UEFI 2406 & 2501 on my setup default to ProcODT 60, but UEFI 0068 is 40.
