Hi All,

So I've got a couple of annoying faults with my laptop. It will randomly shut down no matter what is running and even if nothing is running. It can be twice in 15 mins or nothing for a day. When it shuts down I press the power button and it starts where it left off; no windows logon, just straight back into whatever program I was using at the time. That's the first issue. I don't know if this next one is more annoying: when I type or use the touchpad its like the input is randomly interrupted for a fraction of a second. This happens very frequently, like 2 or 3 times a sentence. If I use a usb mouse and keyboard I have no issues.

I also have a dead battery so I always use the laptop with the power plugged in. I changed the battery about 2 years ago but it's been dead about a year and I've never got round to buying another one because it's over 100 quid and it's a hassle replacing it.

Any suggestions folks?
