G750JM Motherboard Replacement need Help

Hello !

Since some days, my "G750JM" notebook (i5 version) do not power on or charge anymore. I checked every pieces (battery charger, battery, power input,..) and all seems OK.

I imagine that the problem come from the motherboard itself so I actually wondering about buying a new one to replace the broke motherboard by a good one.

Sadly, I can't find the same motheboard (60NB04J0-MB1210) but I can find the same piece with the intel i7 as CPU (60NB04M0-MB1400) on eBay : https://www.ebay.fr/itm/323230137224#rpdCntId

If I buy this board and fit it in my computer like a new motherboard, is the computer will work again or not ? I'am afraid that the i7 version could have the same drivers or something and can't use the GPU or the screen for example.

Is someone have advises for me or did the same thing one day ?

Thanks !

The i7 CPU motherboard would be a good replacement for your i5 CPU motherboard. I would suggest you purchase the motherboard with i7 CPU attached. Require full function or money back.

Good Luck

hi..
I'm also looking to upgrade my ROG G750JM motherboard to the G750JZ model one.
However my stock motherboard comes with i74700 HQ processor ,
and what i'm looking for is i74860 HQ processor with the Nvidia 880M 8GB graphics. I need the correct MOtherboard part number for this JZ model. without which service centre cant place the order

I don't advise you to buy JZ model if you have JM now. But if you have JZ just look for g750jz motherboard. Any will fit, even those with 4860HQ even though you had originally 4700HQ or 4710HQ.

Just make sure its the same JZ/JW, motherboard number does not matter but the seller will ask you anyway.

I know from personal experience because I changed my g750jz motherboard 4 times.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Any specific reason for not suggesting this upgrade? like compatibility or something?

yes compatibility.
they expect a different gtx as jz uses 880m
but if you know that it will work then go ahead, otherwise you'll just have dead weight
