Asus G55VW-RS71 Wireless Card Adapter

I have a Asus G55VW-RS71 ROG laptop which came with an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 single band wireless adapter. Because of this, I am getting less than 70 Mbps while my work laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad T580) with a dual band wireless adapter just got 286 Mbps while connected to the same Xfinity router. Needless to say I really want to upgade my wireless adapter to something capable of getting results similar to my work laptop. I would love any suggestions from someone that has replaced this wireless adapter. Thank you!

After some research I have seen people mention replacing it with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth 4.0

Do you guys agree? Also, does ASUS whitelist their Bios?

Thanks, I thought that might do the trick!
