Where are people's manners?
It's comments like (above), that will stop Shamino or any other ASUS employee trying to help us out.
People are angry at the personal attacks at Shamino. If those that are mouthing off spent some time reading the thread they would know that we're ALL frustrated with ASUS/AMD.
You would also know that AMD pulled AB when it was already finished for some boards - I think the CH7 was a day away or something like that from release as well.
ASUS will not post any official bios if they know it is bugged (duh). Shamino was kind enough to let us TEST the release ourselves as so many of us complained. He shared what was ready before he went on a well earned holiday. BE GRATEFUL!
And for those of you who don't even own a ROG board, I don't know why you complain in this thread for X370/X470 ROG CROSSHAIR boards.
Please, just be patient, Shamino said he's back this week - just let him get on with his work!
The problems were with AGESA and as such, affect ALL boards. Anything that has AGESA 1003 in the name be that AB, ABB or even just 1003 - they are all based off the same code, and have the same problems with boost. This is confirmed by 1usmus, the creator of Ryzen Dram Calc, and Shimano himself.
Please chill guys. Have some respect for ASUS employees that take it upon themselves to help us out. Yes, you can make complaints or report bugs, but do it with respect and constructively. There's no need for any of this.
If you were Shamino coming back from holiday, reading this crap, what would you do? Continue communicating with the community? I know what I'd do - I just hope he doesn't do the same as I value having this connection to ASUS.
I hope @Silent Scone or another @moderator removes all of these nasty posts.Last edited by bigtop1967; 08-12-2019 at 11:38 AM.

I did not attack him in any way, so why talking about my manners? (better watch for your manners)
I only asked where he is, because its more than a week since he left for holiday.
That people get a lil bit angry because other companies are delivering Bios much faster is normal.
Your post is nasty because you attack the users here, who asks for support etc
So please stop playing the holy man here, we are waiting and respecting Shamino and co, so dont halluzinate that we are not doing that.

I wasn't referring to you particularly, except for your demand 'where is he?' - you could just ask him if he had a nice break and if he knows when any releases are coming......
I purposely didn't single anyone out, if you feel this way then I then I whole heartily apologize - I will edit the post so it is not a reply to you - I did not intend this.
I just want people to stop giving the guy a hard time (that's my problem), I even said 'Please' (when did please become rude?)Last edited by bigtop1967; 08-12-2019 at 11:40 AM.

As for Gigabyte - check this post back in this thread about their glorious bios updates (not)...
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...e29#post779887
It's very frustrating waiting, but we do usually get a better quality bios for it - but in this case, AMD is at fault for releasing so much buggy code (checkout their reddit - people from all boards complaining).
I won't update my bios until AGESA 1004 comes out, I'll be staying with 2501 for now.About me: I am dyslexic and DO occasionally miss things!

That was ABA, not AB. How is that relevant anyway, other than showing that at least AMD test stuff even if Asus don't?
Are you serious? Is this a different Asus we're talking about? As I said in my last post, many of us are now proud owners of PCs that toss a virtual coin when the power button is pressed to decide if they'll actually bother POSTing. That's an Asus bug. BIOS mouse support is widely broken. Another absolutely trivially discoverable Asus bug that would have been caught by any semi-competent prerelease testing. I'm not claiming that particular one is a serious problem, but they clearly don't do any real testing. Whether that's due to lack of resources or a deliberate decision, it boils down to the same thing in the end - as a company they certainly have the resources to do it if they made the effort.
And HERE, ladies and gentlemen, we have a PERFECT example of that fanboy attitude I was describing. "<3 Asus, notice me Asus plsplspls. OMG how dare you criticise them, Asus are teh AWESOME!!!11!111!"
It's just embarrassing...
Perhaps because it's one of the few places where there's some 2-way communication with Asus, however limited? Certainly not seen them bothering to engage with users anywhere else, that's the only reason I bothered to register here myself. Oh and I have a C7H before you try to tell me to leave as well, lol.
Yeah we know that. I'd just like my PC to boot up reliably. That doesn't require an AGESA update.
Also you got Shamino's name wrong. Normally I wouldn't bring it up, just kind of funny when you're moaning about people not respecting him.
Any of WHAT? People wondering when the next release is going to be? People wondering why Asus seem to have a single employee doing all of this? People frustrated because their expensive PC won't work anymore as a direct result of Asus and their piss-poor software development practices? If Shamino is uncomfortable with the *extremely limited* level of discontent in this thread, nobody is forcing him to post here are they? If he stopped I think people like you would be the most upset because you'd lose chances like this to go all white-knighty and attempt to defend a huge company who, as I already said, does not give a single sh*t about you.
