not sure how long we are gonna wait, until asus can release a bios which able reboot the pc properly.

or you expect us user don't reboot/shutdown the PC and just let it run all the time?

I have the same issue, with newer bios 2703 (C7H) on default settings i can boot in Win10 once, but either reboot or shutdown and then warm start and i can't post.

Moreover i can't use my mem XMP profile now, because dram voltage changes or mem clock changes lead to double boot and no post. Bios 2501 works like a charm but it has this annoying fan issue.

What is the difference between your and gupsterg's BIOSes that was released earlier?

Actually I used his bios since he had already replaced the SMU FW with the earlier version to allow better boosting. What I added was unhiding options. Lots of options. I know that the C7H non wifi 002+ is working correctly for all...the others may not still be showing the options for ryzen 3000 as that night after I had confimation of the one working with matisse I took some shortcuts which may have messed up the other two for ryzen 3000.

I spent all day yesterday actually cataloging every module in our bios for easier reference for all. Gonna start from scratch and redo each bios today.

It is quite an undertaking.

Here is the catalog of modules that you can edit...most should not ever be touched.

These are the GUID to quickly locate the ones you need since now you really need to mod the "dups" as well for full functionality . Gupsterg is now also working on creating modded bios. Unfortantly there is no way to automate this process and it all has to be done manually. So it is pretty easy to leave things hid as it is very monotonous. Nothing that would break the bios from booting. But still be patient, as I and him get it all worked out. Now though at least we can do it again. I have been working on this nut since the Ryzen 3000 was released even though I do not have a 3000 to work with.

The Reason I am posting this is 4 modules need hex editing for the 1000/2000 and also 4 modules need hex editing to fully unlock things. Plus each bios has to be ran through the latest version of AMIBCP and every option has to be changed to USER in 2 different places. I do it how I like my bios with all options available. Though I do leave the ones that I know not to work or actually dangerous to adjust. So for one bios it really is hundreds of edits in AMIBCP and Hex editor plus extracting and converting the modules.

For future reference for others basically a an FYI for anyone who want to bios mod, on these new combo bios it is actually 2 bios in one. One for the 1000/2000 and one for the 3000, so for sake of modding for capability you need to mod both modules. Further it is an actual requiement to hex edit the 3000 ones for the options to show. Most will show just using AMIBCP on the 1000/2000 modules, less needs to hex edited.

Yeah my 2700X on C7H non wifi worked great for the 10 days i had it, then after switching to 3600 the problems started and still continue with 3600x, although if i get a freeze or BSOD, it's usually just one and it's fine until the next start up from cold (i turn power off at the wall every night).

Separately, is it possible to get PMU Pattern Bits option in AMD CBS that is on TR2 and Ryzen 3000? I've noticed that in 2602/2606 and later AMD CBS has far fewer options and no longer has any MBIST options.

My C7H works great with gupsterg 0002+, reboots every time, always starts from cold, if I cut the power to the PSU it dual boots but works every time too. Screen always turns on. In short, everything works. As does boost, and fans. For me the best bios so far!

I run a 3900X and 3800MHz mem 1900/1900/1900.

Bandwith is a little lower, and a little more latency. But not so that it hurts, I get 61-62GB/s copy instead of 64GB/s and latency is 65.2ns instead of 64.7ns.

Since the bios has a lot more stable boot behaviour it's worth the tradeoff imho

Yeah, could be. it's just suck that 2501 works from the box without any trouble. Dunno, looks like memory problem with newer bioses, read before that some people had issues with C5 post code and the latest bioses resolved it but break something for another bunch of people, myself included. May be it is a B-die issues or Corsair sticks in general, coz in this topic 6kbyte said he've had double and triple starts with Corsair B-died sticks but micron e-dies works like a charm.

I'm running 4 sticks of gskill flare x @3200mhz, that's b-die so I don't think it's a b-die specific problem causing that, perhaps it's specific to corsair.

New modded version of 2703+ C7H WIFI is now up. C7H 002+ is now updated All issue should be corrected for all cpu's. This version has a previous SMU FW to help with the boost behavior as well as a ton of other options. Note some options may be zombie options and do not actually do anything some new options work but are practically worthless. Allow Fan stop does not appear to work. Spread Spectrum should now appear in the extreme tweaker menu. Lots of fan controls, and I un-neutered the CBS menus...all should now be back. Working on the others.
